Pin and insulator analysis helps you to select the best conductor pin and insulator based on the total load exerted on the pin by the conductor. The user may also right-click the conductor and select from a list of pins and insulators that are appropriate for that particular conductor.

Access the Pin and Insulator Analysis in the Conductors frame on any of the tabs (except Ruling Span). You may need to scroll to the right to see the Pin, Pin Rating, Insulator, and Insulator Rating fields.

1. Right-click a conductor and select Pin/Insulator Properties.
2. Modify the pin and insulator properties as needed. Available selections in the Pin and Insulator ID fields are dependent on the conductor's load.
3. Click OK to save changes and dismiss the window. Click Cancel to dismiss the window without saving changes.
