ArcFM Desktop Overview > ArcFM > Map Production > Manage Map Books and Map Sets > Map Book Editor's Locator Tool |
The Locator Tool allows you to assign map grids to a selected map set. You can access the Locator Tool by clicking Locate on the ArcFM Map Book Editor window.
When you access the Locator Tool through the Map Book Editor window and click Options, the three following functions are available:
Auto Add to Map Set Checkbox: Select this checkbox in the Options window to automatically add the found map grids to the selected map set. If you select this option, the found map grids will be added before you click OK or Add Map Set.
Add to Map Set Utility: This right-click tool allows a user to select a map grid or multiple map grids to the selected map set. You may use the Ctrl button to select multiple map grids or right-click a layer to send all features within it. Because the Add to Map Set utility is the default tool, you may also select a map grid or map grid layer to add the features to the map set.
Multiple Searches: You may perform multiple searches using different locator tools and view the appended search results in the Locator tool. You may use the Ctrl button to select multiple map grids from different searches and add them to the map set.
