Ahead and back guying are the simplest kinds of structural support loading to compute because the only components are loads due to conductor tensions. Since the guys are in line with the conductor pulling load, the transverse wind load on the wire can be ignored. Guy tension is compared to the Rated Breaking Strength (RBS) of the guy wire to ensure that the guy can resist the load. The anchor resistive strength must also be checked. Bisector guying calculations combine pole loading and guying calculations. You can select from various guy properties when determining how to analyze the load on poles with selected conductors.
