ArcFM allows you to check out licenses for ArcFM extensions in ArcMap. It is no longer necessary to close ArcMap, open the ArcFM Desktop Administrator, then re-open ArcMap. This functionality allows you to check out a license on-the-fly.

Users will not need to check out an extension license for Network Adapter-DMS.
  1. In ArcMap, select Customize > Extensions.

  1. Select the checkbox next to the license you wish to use. If the license is not available (i.e., all licenses are in use or licenses were not purchased), then the extension license is labeled with: "License not available".

  1. Click Close to dismiss the Extensions window.
