Using ArcFM Solution Desktop
Network Adapter Options for Electric Solver

Resource Center Home

The Network Adapter Options form has three tabs: General, Load Flow, and Short Circuit.

The General tab allows the user to select error logging options. If the user chooses to log messages to the screen, the Export Selection to Solver Log form will appear. If the user chooses to log messages to a file, the same messages are saved to a text file. If the user chooses to log all messages, data error messages and detailed status messages will be logged. Otherwise, only data error messages will be logged.

Select the "Notify when default values are used" checkbox to receive notification during import when a null field value is encountered and a default value used.

The General tab also allows you to choose whether to use the SynerGEE Electric Protection Database. If "Use SynerGEE Electric Protection Database" is checked, then SynerGEE launches along with the protection database when the user clicks the Save Feeder/Open SynerGEE button. Without this option checked, the protection database is not loaded.

In the Network Adapter MDB field, browse or enter a path to the Network Adapter database (NetworkAdapter.mdb in the sample data). This database cannot be a feature database. More information about NetworkAdapter.mdb is available in the Network Adapter Implementation Guide.

The Load Flow and Short Circuit tabs allow the user to set options for load flow analysis and short-circuit analysis.
