This tool allows you to select the best guying anchor based on soil conditions and pole loading. Use the Add Guys button to add guys to either the Bisector Guy or Dead End Guy tab.

  1. Click the Add Guys button and the Guy Properties window is displayed.
  2. Enter the attributes and number of guys to be added.
  3. You may also change the anchors used for each guy, based on a drop-down list that is filtered on the basis of soil conditions. Select the Use Existing Anchor checkbox and select an anchor ID. To create a new anchor, leave the checkbox unselected. The Existing Anchor fields are disabled when the first guy is added.

    If you choose to create a new anchor, the Structural Analysis tool will default to the best choice based on the Soil Class field and the pole loading. You may modify the type of anchor selected.
