Services Stop without Warning or Error

The Geodatabase Manager services may stop without any warning or error indicating the reason. This may be caused by the OPEN_CURSORS initialization parameter on SDE being set to its default of 50, which is too low. Restart the server and set SDE's OPEN_CURSORS setting to a reasonable level (e.g., 2000 to 5000).
