Data Considerations

ArcFM Electric Tracing relies exclusively upon Feeder Manager’s MMElectricTraceWeight to determine the following essential elements of the circuit connectivity model:

Device type of each junction (switching device, transformer, or none)
Normal status for each electrical phase of a switching device
Transformer phase designation
Conductor phase designation

The Bitgate section of the Appendix offers detailed information about how the above data is encoded in the MMElectricTraceWeight integer, and about how a weight autoupdater is used to maintain MMElectricTraceWeight values automatically.
